Clinical Hypnotherapy

Clinical hypnosis is used for treating a psychological or physical problem by inducing an altered state of awareness, perception or consciousness. It is a highly relaxed state. Hypnosis is a state of inner absorption, concentration and focused attention. This shift in consciousness enables us to tap into many of our natural abilities and allows us to make change more quickly.

Professionals use clinical hypnosis to help clients bring about change using mental imagery or one’s imagination. The mind is capable of using imagery even it is only symbolic, to assist us in bringing about the changes we are working toward.

Hypnosis may also be used for unconscious exploration to better understand underlying motivations or identify whether past events or experiences are associated with causing a problem.

Shelly has a Bachelors's Degree in Clinical Hypnotherapy and is able to incorporate hypnotherapy into the techniques she utilizes to help her clients when it is indicated.
